イノベーションと伝統の融合
Pres de La Mer (プレ・デ・ラ・メール)はフランス語で「海のそば」を意味しており、当施設は海岸には面していないものの、ほんの２，３分歩くと海の見える岸壁まで行くことができ、実際当施設でも汽笛の音や海の香りを感じる事ができる海をテーマにした宿泊施設です。イノベーションと伝統の融合
建物は明治３１年（西暦1898年）に北前船に関わる取引をしていた時代に倉庫として使用されており、その後50年以上も放置されていたレンガ造の建物を、モダンな雰囲気にフルリノベーションをし、数々のアートを散りばめて、まるで家が美術館のような一日中居ても飽きない空間を演出しています。
“Pres de La Mer” means “Near the sea” in French. Our place is under the theme of the sea or water. Although we are not facing the sea, the wharf is only a few minutes’ walk away, and you can feel the sound of whistle of the ship or smell of the sea even in our facility.
Our building was originally built in 1898, used as the warehouse for food distribution of our company trading with outside of Hokkaido. It was kept in the original style for more than 50 years unused. Then we fully renovated into modern interior with old brick building structure with a lot of art decoration. You can sit and relax your stay as if your house is a museum.

海外でのデザイン活動や諸国放浪、紆余曲折いろいろな職経歴をもつディレクター／デザイナー。
インテリアデザインからグラフィックデザイン、プロダクトなどの様々なジャンルを行き来しながら、時にはそれを融合させ、多角的な観点から柔軟・的確にモノゴトを提案・発信、難解案件のフィクサーでもある。
Pres de La Merでは、インテリアとエクステリアのディレクションとデザイン・設計、家具デザイン、照明プランを担当。

Eiki is a director and designer with the experience of designing in the foreign countries with travelling around the world.
His multitalented skills cover and integrate designing in interior, graphic, and products. His flexible knowledge in several fields are assisting in solving difficult issues.
With Pres de La Mer, he designed, planned both interior and exterior as well as furniture design and light planning.

北海道出身。Sapporo School of The Arts インダストリアルデザイン・建築コース卒業。グラフィックデザイン、ブランディング、壁画、絵の制作などをてがける。
ロゴ・サイン・壁画を担当。
築100年を越える倉庫の歴史を表す北前船、地平線に沈んではまた昇る月と太陽、海の神獣である鯨、海辺の町のやわらかな植物たちを散りばめながら、海の近くで暮らす豊さを考えていきました。館内には、短い詩が至るところに隠されています。ぜひ探してみてください。

The painting of the Kitamaefune (cargo ships that sailed the Japan Sea mainly in 18th century) represents this more than a century old warehouse. The moon and the sun that repeatedly sink to the horizon and rise again. God beast of the sea, Whale. Lovely plants you can see around the street of the seaside. They are representing the richness of the life in this old town of Hakodate.

札幌を中心に数多くのフラワーアートを手掛けており、函館でもシエスタなどでフラワーアートの講師なども務めている。フラワー装飾技師、北海道認定木育マイスターM Flower Design(株)・(有)スタジオ嶋 代表取締役
１F洗面のアートフラワー装飾を担当。
今回の制作にあたり最初に、”ラグジュアリー”というコンセプトと、”インスタ映えのスポットとなる様なインパクト”をという事とお聞きしていたので、以下のようなイメージで制作しました。
テーマとなっているラグジュアリー感を出すための色彩としてパープルやグレージュをメインに、おとなの色気や落ち着いた華やかさの演出に蘭などの花材を用いています。 バスルームの鏡に映し出された時に与える印象を考えた時、アートフラワーの特徴として、触接至近距離から見たときの印象とは大きく違ってくることから、その点を花材や色彩でカバーしながらかつガラスケース越しに見たときにも、人の心を動かす印影、一見すると見えていない部分が作用する効果を考えてみました。花の素材だけでボリュームを出すのではなく色彩が与える印象をいくつものグリーンで引き立たせています。

With Pres de La Mer, she decorates art flower in the main bathroom.
She focused on luxury and giving nice photo image for social media.
Color of purple and graige (grey-beige) are used to give an impression of luxury and orchid gives an impression of adult, calm and gorgeous. When you look at the flower art by facing the mirror, it gives you different impression from looking at directly. The art was made for multidirectional view and you can enjoy the color of the flower as well as the types of the flowers with its multi-green color background.

Shuichi Hashiya
函館の旧市街地（西部地区）で生まれ、北前船で加賀からやってきた祖先の影響を受けながら、高校卒業後、アメリカに留学しその後ニューヨークで勤務。アメリカに関わらず全世界を幾度となく旅した見地からもニューヨークやヨーロッパなどの古い物件をモダンかつアーティスティックに再生するテイストの影響を受ける。本業の食品卸売業、不動産業などの経営者としての観点からも、時代のニーズにフィットしながらも持続可能な運営のできる施設を立ち上げている。
函館湯の川La Cachetteのプロジェクトのデザインも行っている

He is influenced by the renovation that makes the old building into modern and artistic in New York and Europe from his experience travelling around the world so many times.
With his management knowledge as a president of more than one century company for food distribution and real estate business, he currently manages this kind of villa to meet its market demand for sustainable business.
